The client invited me to help with the user flows and the UI. The project timeframe was short. The goal was to enable the user to send a poke for peace to another person.
MY ROLE WAS TO TAKE CARE OF THE UI AND THE IA OF THE APP.
After checking out the brief, I’ve compiled a list of questions regarding the primary goals of the website. Based on that a lively discussion has formed around the product, goals and the feature set.
Several suggestions have been put forward to the client for consideration. A “forget and forgive” indicator has been the most popular. Users could indicate the level of forgiveness by using a slider. When users on each end selected a similar value on the scale, the service offers a peace proposal.
A use case for users that want to resolve a conflict doesn’t guarantee regular returning visits. I needed to come up with solutions that motivate repeat visits. Otherwise, the website won't stick in the daily lives of the target users. Proposals such as the ability to ask other users for their point of view on the conflict or a register of past conflicts and the resolutions have been presented to the client.
Based on the discussions the direction of the product development and the feature roadmap has been set.
Wireframes and prototypes were used to test the alternatives for the user flow of sending a poke for peace between users.
Based on the testing with users and discovered issues during a heuristic analysis, feedback has been provided to the client. This stage took several loops before we selected the final user flow
The final version went live soon after the project development started.
"It's been a pleasure to work with Jernej on the initial concept for Peacetime.com. His inquisitive, thorough and systematic approach to UX/UI design got us from initial concept to a functional prototype in under a week. I'm looking forward to collaborating with Jernej in the future and would recommend him to any team."
